Railway Infrastructure Construction Services

Over the last quarter of 2021, we supported a £25m turnover Rail Infrastructure Contractor in East Anglia to improve their ability to respond to public sector tenders. We undertook a review of their existing capability, and identified several areas where improvements were needed. These included strategic bid management, Safety, Fleet Management, Sustainability, financial modelling and competitor analysis. The results were that the organisation achieved their highest ever scores in the tender process.

In the late summer of 2022, we commenced an assignment to support the owner of a micro private medical sector business in Milton Keynes to develop their business plan to accelerate the growth of the business and open additional new facilities.

Having initially undertaken a full business review for this Cambridgeshire based telecoms business the ongoing support Tinderbox has provided over the last two years has been significant.  Following the review we worked with the owner and management team to develop a long term growth strategy and supported the business in the implementation.  Tinderbox has guided the team through proposition development, implementing an effective sales process, sales skills improvement and leadership development for members of the management team. The business is now achieving double digit growth and going from strength to strength.

Offering a convenient delivery service to its customers for the best authentic Caribbean brands, Tinderbox is assisting this online business to improve profitability and scale. The assignment also included repositioning the company in the market, defining new brand and pricing strategies, reviewing the offer and designing a comprehensive marketing plan to increase sales and brand awareness.

Established, successful business operating in London and the Home Counties, providing a range of property-related services to support clients that lack relevant experience, time, and/or are under emotional stress at a time of transition. Worked with the client to review the opportunities and associated challenges to develop and significantly grow the business, to clarify the long-term business vision and identify some initial, goals and objectives, and to establish a practical, high-level action plan for implementation. The next steps will help the owner build a robust platform and organisation positioned for growth.

Authentic Argentine Street Food Experience

Established, successful street food outlet operating in London. Facilitated a growth workshop with the client to explore the different growth options and select the preferred solution to significantly grow the business. The next step is to conduct a feasibility study for franchising the business, the preferred option of expansion to other locations, initially within the London area. Tinderbox will then provide the necessary support to assist the owner to establish the pilot franchise operation.

Established in 1995 and based in East Anglia, offering both mail order catalogue and online gifts, with a multi-million pound turnover this company’s owners were ready to begin their exit. Tinderbox supported the owners through the exit strategy decision and the management team to transition to an Employee Owned Trust (EOT).

This early stage company, based in London, delivers recipe kits by award-winning chefs to your door for you to create at home. With the aspiration to rapidly scale following a solid start-up Tinderbox’s expertise was engaged to assist with the building of the Pitch-Deck for the investor proposition. Input continues from Tinderbox to identify potential investors and investment channels as well as identifying potentially synergistic products and providing support to the CEO.

Having successfully worked with the two owners to develop an overarching strategy and leadership framework, we are now engaged in assisting them to drive their revenue and profits and unlocking capacity through operational process improvements and productivity gains.  The business is looking to double in size while maintaining their reputation for delivering high-quality service and solutions for their top-end clients.

Starting in September Tinderbox will be focused on supporting the commercial development and processes within the Admissions team. This will include the development of an operational and commercial strategy to sit alongside the educational strategy, to share with the whole team and build engagement. The objective is to identify and define a clear differentiation in the marketplace.

Commencing in late July we have been working with the two owners of a building firm looking at how they can take the next step in their business development and possibly pivot into new areas of building work which the skills of their workforce can credibly handle. We have met with all of the team and through this and our input we have identified a number of opportunities. We are currently reporting on and discussing these with the ownership.
